    1. Mariette Delon, born into a world where she is a bargaining chip in her father s ambitions, takes her future into her hands by establishing a career for herself in the theatre and by steadfastly holding on to her love for a suitor New Orleans in the 1840s won t let her be with The story that unfolds is expertly told, marrying history and romance with compelling, headstrong characters.

    2. I loved Night Jasmine I only liked this book I don t like when the author keeps characters apart only for the sake of keeping them apart There was no real reason for the two main characters to be apart for the last part of the book the last year or I didn t buy the reason.
