    1. I read this on the kindleI enjoyed the book it is the 2nd book in the series look forward to reading the 3rd 4th in this seriesSylvia is a Amish girl young lady who falls for Widower Jake who is Englisch it a story of love if they go Amish or Englisch as Sylvia had not been baptised she won t be shunned or will they not get together due to not being of the same faith

    2. A wonderful book I loved how it didn t just stop at when they get married this book is recommended by me for people who like happy endings. It will give you a lot of confidence and is heart warming.

    3. Hills of Wheat is the second in Sarah Price s The Amish of Lancaster Series and is Sylvia Lapp s story Sylvia s upbringing has been very sheltered She s quiet, respectful, and obedient, to the point that she will do unpleasant tasks without murmuring or complaining. That being said, now comes the but, which is this but, what happens when a stranger comes into the picture If you think you can totally predict how the story unfolds, pretty sure you d be wrong, unless you ve read other reviews that c [...]

    4. Sylvia Lapp is a shy, timid nineteen year old Amish woman living on her parents farm, and Englisher Jake Edwards has just moved to a neighboring farm He is hoping that by retreating to this farm that s been in his family for generations, he can find peace and forgiveness that he is so desperate to attain, and to release the sorrow and pain that have plagued him since an accident that occured before he left the city, killing his wife He and Sylvia s paths cross both when Jake stops to ask sylvia [...]

    5. I liked this book and can t wait to start the next book in the series but the first book The hills of corn is my favorite of the 2 this book had a surprising turn of event in it but it was based on real life I think that is why these books are so good is because they are real and not all glamour.

    6. After reading Fields of Corn, I had to have some Sarah Price So, of course I read her second book in the series I loved Hills of Wheat as much as I loved Fields of Corn I loved the character development, the continuation of learning about the Lapp family.

    7. I loved the opening chapter You didnt know the characters names but what you read you knew you wanted to read on to find out about the characters and to learn about them.I love the details that Sarah uses when she writes.

    8. loved this book, I m on a Sarah Price binge lol. This book shows you how two cultures can exist together. The Lapp family goes through a lot but love, faith in God binds them together I love this story line, keep them coming Sarah.

    9. Disappointed I realize it is like real life, but I like it better when the heroine stays true to her values.

    10. An enjoyable story with enough characters that you want to read the sequels There are reasons for only getting four stars But to provide those I would have to give away too much of the plot.

    11. Excellent story I thoroughly enjoyed this Amish fiction novel I was, however, distracted by all of the errors on my Kindle ebook A simple editing could clean it up.

    12. Great Read I love this story so far and can t wait for the next book in the series I gave it five stars because it s what the author deserves for writing such a great story.

    13. I enjoyed both the first of the series, Fields of Corn, and now this one as well Very well written and insightful into the Amish culture It held my interest well.

    14. Sylvia falls in love with a widower from New York City Can they make their marriage work They come from very different backgrounds.
